English Subject Leader Training

Come and join us for the most popular course we run each term. Each event includes a keynote session led by Rachel Clarke, a range of updates from the English teaching organisations and input from visiting experts including school librarians, publishers and expert educators.

The sessions are creative and frequently book-based, making them a real treat for those that attend. Agendas are confirmed one month prior to each session and in recent events have included writing cohesion, The Writing Framework report, spelling and spoken language.

We provide you with quality refreshments throughout the session to ensure you have the best professional learning experience possible.

This year, the three sessions will be held on the following dates:

• Tuesday 10th February 2026
• Tuesday 10th June 2026

Handouts and resources are provided electronically and colleagues are encouraged to bring their laptop or electronic device to annotate their handouts as the sessions are delivered.
