Description

Socially Mindful! The 'How to Stay Present, Break the Ice & Enhance Your Social Skills' Workshop

This is the 1st out of 3 Workshops from the 'Applied Mindfulness Series' delivered by Dr. Gary Wood

People often overthink social situations until they talk themselves out of even trying. And, yet others seem to know, effortlessly, how to break the ice.

This fun, practical workshop acts like a speed-friending evening. You learn a series of tips and try them out to see how they work for you.

The session covers simple relaxation, meditation and visualization exercises, body-language, confidence tips, small-talk, first impressions and how to put others at ease.

No previous knowledge needed just a willingness to ‘suspend your disbelief’ and try it out. It's more about taking part than taking notes. It’s also all about getting together to co-create a fun, safe space.

Please note: The workshop design assumes 'average' ability in terms of mobility, literacy, and sensory abilities. If you have specific requirements or additional, please make these known at the time of booking to ascertain if the course will be helpful to you.
