Join Women in Mining UK and Wardell Armstrong for a panel discussion about water and tailings management at mine sites and how they have become critical factors affecting mine feasibility, design and financing. Panellists will cover global standards, good practice, reporting and disclosure, operational strategies, and the financial and non-financial benefits enhanced management brings to all stakeholders.

Organiser of Enhanced Water and Tailings Management

Women in Mining UK (WIM UK) is a non-profit volunteer organisation dedicated to promoting the employment, retention and advancement of women in the mining industry, as well as raising awareness of the mining industry as a great career choice for women.  

WIM UK has ~2,000 members from across the globe, is operated by a 40-strong volunteer base, and has a wide network of affiliations with other international women-in-mining organisations. 

Alongside promoting the business case for gender diversity, WIM UK holds regular networking and education events, has a strong international network, provides members with visibility on the global conference circuit,  to showcase the breadth and depth of female professional talent through our initiative #WIMvoice, offers professional development opportunities, such as mentoring, internships and scholarships and celebrates female success stories via our “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” publication.
