Session 9 - Enhancing Connection Through Writing in Activity Provision

Creating meaningful connections through creative communication!

This session covers reflective letter writing, community newspapers, and postcard exchanges. Perfect for developing skills in empathy, storytelling, and creative self-expression, these ideas inspire participants to communicate and connect in memorable ways.

Aim: To enhance participants’ creative communication skills through reflective and expressive writing activities, enabling meaningful connections and storytelling.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Create a template for a community newspaper that includes sections for participant contributions.

2. Develop a step-by-step guide for a letter-writing activity that encourages self-reflection and empathy.

3. Describe activities involving postcards that promotes storytelling and invites individual expression.

The training environment will need to be quiet and undisturbed.
Staff will need to give the course their full attention and should not be on duty.

As an attendee of the training day you MUST have your camera on during all of the sessions, this is to verify your participation/attendance.

Certificates of attendance will only be issued to attendees who attend for the whole of the session.
This course will be delivered via ZOOM and will include, presentations, discussion and reflection, case studies, videos and demonstrations. Please make sure that you are familiar with using ZOOM.
