About This Event
The OCEAN Project, funded by Horizon Europe, has been pioneering Human-Centred Design to help already skilled mariners make better, safer decisions.
This final showcase will reveal:
- How Safety II culture is changing maritime operations.
- The new European Navigational Hazard Infrastructure (ENHI), integrating satellite data, hydrophones, marine mammal models, and lost container tracking.
- Practical navigation tools, from free apps to enterprise-grade fleet systems.
From tackling ship–whale strikes to mitigating risks from floating containers, OCEAN’s innovations are actively protecting lives, ecosystems, and economies.
