Event description

Description

The purpose of this seminar is to bring together students, graduates, employers, university staff, guidance professionals and other interested stakeholders to consider what can be done to enhance the transition for non-traditional students as they leave university in search of a graduate career.

The seminar will take, as its starting point, research conducted over the last three years by Dr Barbara Merrill, Professor John Field, Dr Scott Revers and Masauso Chirwa from the Centre for Lifelong Learning at the University of Warwick.

The research project, entitled EMPLOY, involves six partner HE institutions across Europe who have been exploring some of the career-development challenges and opportunities facing non-traditional university students (ie. mature students; students with disabilities; students from areas of socio-economic disadvantage; first-generation students; students from ethnic minorities, etc.)

As the project comes to a close, the UK research team are hosting a seminar on Monday the 25th of September 2017 from 10 am to 3.30 pm at the University of Warwick.

We hope that you will be able to join us on the 25th for what we feel is an important conversation for anyone who is interested in enhancing the diversity of the graduate labour market.

Tea/coffee and a light lunch will be provided.

Please book soon as places are very limited.
