Description

It is free to register for this event. On attendance, attendees will be invoiced a rate of either £120.00 (Special introductory rate for 2016/17 NQTs) or £392.00 (all other NQTs).


Workshops:

Creative starters, Teaching skills audit, Assessment and feedback ,Literacy Planning lessons, Behaviour for learning Differentiation, Questioning techniques, Engaging in learning.


Aims of the course:

This programme is for schools and teachers who want to advance, develop and improve their teaching practice and deliver consistently good lessons. The programme is also for staff who may previously have been identified for the Improving Teacher Programme. The end result is a motivated teacher with the tools and expertise to succeed, leading not only to enhanced classroom and pupil performance but also higher standards across the school.

This course can be accredited by The University of Chester.


Suitable for:

Schools and teachers who want to advance, develop and improve their teaching practice and deliver consistently good lessons. Staff who may previously have been identified for the Improving Teacher Programme.


This Course will address the essential skills and practice to:

  • Provide teachers with in-dept, coaching, tailored to the self-assessment of their teaching.

  • Provide opportunities to deepen their understanding of high quality classroom practice and teaching and Learning

  • Improve participant’s teaching through facilitated practice, observation of colleagues and working with ‘live’ students.

  • Support a wider range of teaching activities, including: planning lessons, starter activities, plenary sessions, questioning techniques, engaging in learning, challenging learning, assessment and differentiation strategies.


You will leave with:

  • The tools and expertise to succeed, leading not only to enhanced classroom and pupil performance but also higher standards across the school.
