Come along to our taster workshop for our resident Acting for Improvers Ensemble Company on Monday 16th September at 7pm. There is no need to prepare anything in advance.
Participants should have some acting experience already and be keen to advance their skills.
If you are successful and offered a place in the company, this course provides a fun and rewarding process in which participants develop their physical and vocal abilities, foster their creativity and imagination, create their own performance material from different stimuli, and learn techniques on how to build believable and stimulating characters for stage and screen.
To begin with you will explore the basics of improv through exercises and games. Then the group will progress into more advanced exercises designed to ignite your imagination and improve your skills. Finally, as a group you will work together to devise and construct an ensemble piece to be performed at a theatre in London.
