About this event

  • Event lasts 1 day

Join business decision-makers and technical experts for a two-day, hybrid Deep Engagement Session exploring how user-centred approaches can drive just transitions to net zero. Hosted alongside the Oxford Sustainable Finance Summit, this event brings together those shaping the future of transition standards, reporting, and target-setting.

Over the last decade, we have witnessed a surge in standards, frameworks, and methods designed to help investors and corporations transition towards net zero. To transition from pledging to implementation, more is required to achieve substantive adoption.

Who are the users of standards, and how do they make decisions?

What do they need to change capital allocation to reduce negative and increase positive impacts?

To answer these questions, we need to explore user-centred approaches to target-setting, reporting, and verification. Thus, our work begins with developing a better understanding of the user needs, which, in turn, can inform the usability of standards for specific decision-making contexts.

What to Expect:

Day 1: Community - Build a community of practice around shared problem statements on user-centred approaches to corporate standards for driving just transitions (i.e. what is already here and what we need)

Day 2: Action - Develop a shared vision for collaboration with a set of ideas and tasks to integrate user-centred approaches into ongoing standard projects and standard-setting practice as a whole

Join us to become part of a community of practice and shape the direction of future standards that are not solely focused on disclosure but on decision making.
