Entering the Higher and Degree Apprenticeship market
Tue 14 February 2017, 10:00 – 16:00
Are you considering whether to deliver Higher or Degree Apprenticeships, or just started? The introduction of new apprenticeship standards and the levy for larger employers, means there are significant opportunities for HEIs, FE Colleges and apprenticeship providers to broaden their offer.
Delivering the newly reformed apprenticeships however, requires you to understand what employer-led Higher and Degree Apprenticeships look like, how they are to be delivered, the operational challenges and the competitive opportunities.
SDN is running a full-day workshop, with the University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC), to help you understand the apprenticeship reforms, the opportunities, the challenges and how to enter and thrive in the Higher and Degree Apprenticeship marketplace.
The workshop will take you through:
- The apprenticeship reforms and what it means for HE providers
- The business opportunities of delivering Higher and Degree Apprenticeships (including the levy)
- What ‘employer-led’ looks like / engaging with employers
- Market entry requirements and laying the ground, ready to deliver your first cohort
- Support, resources and case studies to guide and equip you
Who is this workshop for?
For those interested in delivering Higher or Degree Apprenticeships, and keen to seize the opportunities. This, for example, may include leaders and senior managers from HEIs, FE College and current apprenticeship providers.
Facilitators and speakers
The workshop will be facilitated by SDN’s resident experts in Higher and Degree Apprenticeships and the reforms, with support from Adrian Anderson (Chief Executive of UVAC). Both organisations have been at the cutting edge of developing Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, and helping universities to understand and deliver them.
Why an SDN/UVAC workshop?
SDN and UVAC are leading experts in the apprenticeship reforms having supported and advised hundreds of training providers across the country and have been involved with employer groups developing standards and assessment plans including the first Degree Apprenticeships.
The cost of this workshop is £275 (+VAT). Where it is not possible for your organisation to pay for the workshop using a credit card, we are happy to accept invoices. Please make contact using the contact details below to arrange this.
