Explore ways to help your clients through coaching approaches to boost their employability skills through awareness of entrepreneurship.

About this Event

Explore useful coaching activities and models useful in supporting clients to develop their initiative-taking awareness. Build your repertoire of techniques and tools you can use in your professional life. This training is particularly beneficial for those who work or who would like to work with disadvantaged individuals.

Have the opportunity to network with like minded people and see how you can support your clients further!

Many practitioners appreciate the value of a coaching approach when supporting clients. These online sessions will give you:

  • A working definition of coaching; simple models from coaching theory to define a systematic way to work with clients and learners particularly when helping them appreciate their entrepreneurial capability for initiative-taking and problem solving.
  • Help you understand the difference between teaching and coaching
  • Offer models, activities and exercises to add to your coaching repertoire
  • Give tips for coaching neuro-diverse clients
  • Finally, we will bring what we learn together, applying it to case studies of fictional clients/ learners

  • 3rd December 2020 (10:00-12:00 GMT) - Games and Businesses
  • 10th December 2020 (10:00-12:00 GMT) - Making It Happen

The course will be presented by Michele Lockwood-Edwards (B.A. Hons., P.G.C.E. Cantab., M.Sc. M.Sc, MCIPD, FHEA) who has more than 20 years’ experience as a coach, teacher and facilitator working in the public and private sector with an interest in change, evidence-based research and personal development. Michele has coached many individuals. She holds a PGCE and is a fellow of the Higher Education Authority (FHEA). Michele also has Masters degrees in Organisational Development and Consultancy and also in Coaching and Mentoring. She is also a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development, the professional body for HR practitioners and those working in people development.
