Event Description
This 1-hour introductory session is designed to provide a basic awareness of domestic abuse and the local response in Gloucestershire.
The session will give professionals and staff a clear understanding of what domestic abuse is, the support available, and their role in responding as part of a wider coordinated community response (CCR).
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this session, participants will:
- Understand the legal definition of domestic abuse.
- Be able to identify the different types of abuse.
- Gain an understanding of what GDASS does and how to refer.
- Recognise the importance of the Coordinated Community Response (CCR) and how agencies work together.
- Be aware of other commissioned support services available in Gloucestershire.
- Understand the role of statutory agencies in responding to domestic abuse.
