The Global Environmental Measurement and Monitoring (GEMM) Centre at the University of Strathclyde invites you to learn more about how city leaders, policymakers, scientists and businesses are seeking to answer these questions.

An international project of Optica and the American Geophysical Union, the GEMM Initiative operates a global network of regional environmental centres which seek to better understand and forecast the local impacts of climate change and engage with policy makers to provide technologies and environmental models for better decision-making.

The GEMM Centre at the University of Strathclyde hosts the Strathclyde Centre for Doctoral Training in Global Environmental Monitoring & Policy; the Glasgow Urban Air Project in collaboration with Glasgow City Council, Stanford University, the University of California, Berkeley; and a water economies project.

The summit will also see the launch of the Glasgow Environmental Monitoring of Indoor and Outdoor Air (GEMINOA) project, supported by ICLEI Europe.
