Epic Jewellery Findings Class

Being able to make your own findings for your jewellery not only makes the item truly handmade, it also means that you can co-ordinate your jewellery, fix jewellery you’ve had lying around for ages, as well as using up all those scraps of wire!
Plus… using a beautiful embellished clasp as the focal point on a necklace can look absolutely amazing!
*
Ever wondered how to make your own ear hooks, clasps and chain? This class will show you how to make different styles of all of these plus more!!! From simple and plain, to more detailed and even embellished.
*
You will learn everything you need to know to be able to make completely handmade and unique jewellery at home without any soldering or need for expensive tools!

In this class you will learn how to make:

  • 2x styles of ear hooks: simple and designed
  • Head and eye pins
  • 2x different styles of hook and eye clasps including embellished
  • A simple toggle clasp
  • A detailed toggle clasp
  • An s-chain
  • Linked beads for chains, earrings and bracelets
  • Bails for drop beads and pendants
  • Wrapped beads
  • Jump rings

A simple way to add extra interest to a beaded chain is to create wrapped links. Not only is this style of chain very strong, you can easily add extra detail by wrapping the wire around the beads. This makes the chain pretty enough to use on its own or make a focal necklace extra special.

The cost of this class includes:

  • A light lunch, please bring your own if you prefer. There is a kettle and microwave available to use.
  • All refreshments hot and cold.
  • All materials needed to create the multiple items listed.
  • If you choose the "with tools" option you will get your own tools to keep, if not you will bring your own.
  • 6 hours of tuition.
  • Access to the Community Page where you can ask for help and advice from the group and from myself.

Dee-zyn Jewellery

Dee-zyn Jewellery was created by myself Deanne Echarri back in 2008. I am the jewellery designer and creator and have been creating silver jewellery for over 12 years now. After completing a silver smith course back in 2010, I decided to explore PMC (precious metal clay) and completed a diploma in this... but I still felt as though I was not quite there with what I wanted to produce.
I then found Wire Sculpture Jewellery, creating twists and swirls to shape and forge the wire and to encase gems within wire, thus creating completely unique one-of-a-kind pieces using only Silver wire and small tools. NO soldering!!!
I fell completely in love with this and completed 6 Master Class Courses to learn the techniques needed to become an expert in the field. I now design and craft quality silver wire jewellery using precious and semi-precious stones from around the world. Each piece is unique and crafted by hand using master wire sculpting techniques. I am an international seller, selling online as well as at craft fayres, wedding fayres, trade fayres and galleries.
I now run a Wire Jewellery School, empowering other people to have a go and learn to create their own beautiful jewellery using the same techniques that I fell in love with. There are many different workshops and courses, providing the knowledge and physical skills needed to create different styles of jewellery, from beginners to Master Classes.
