Description

- Get ready for the Epica awards 2017! -

To celebrate its 31st anniversary, Epica is returning to Berlin, after our last visit in 2015.

Epica is the only global creative prize awarded by journalists working for marketing and communications magazines around the world. It offers an independent jury and global press coverage. Launched 31 years ago, today it is an international celebration of creativity, attracting thousands of entries from more than 70 countries.
More than 60 editors and senior journalists serve on the Epica jury, from Adweek in the US to Werben & Verkaufen in Germany and everywhere in between.

Programme:

The Creative Singularity (09:30am to 05:30pm):

RICHARD WILSON: Co-founder, Stop Funding Hate
Richard Wilson is a writer, human rights activist and co-founder of Stop Funding Hate. Launched in August 2016, the campaign seeks to make hate unprofitable, and promote the idea of ‘ethical advertising’ by persuading companies to pull advertising from newspapers that incite hatred against minority groups.

How the Stop Funding Hate campaign is driven by viral video, social media and crowd-funding.

PREETHI MARIAPPAN: VP, Executive Creative Director of Emerging Experiences EMEA, Sapient Razorfish
Preethi Mariappan leads a multidisciplinary team focused on post-screen digital experiences in the physical world.
