Who is the course for?

This course is primarily aimed at social scientists who want to understand how to make use of Understanding Society’s epigenetic (methylation) data in their work. What will I learn?

This course has two elements:

  • a lecture that will cover what epigenetic data are available from Understanding Society, what they mean and how to access them
  • a demonstration of how to use these data to explore the correlation between participants’ biological clock and socio-economic position
