Course type
CPD accredited face to face training. This will take place at Gladstone House, Gladstone Drive, Soundwell, Bristol, BS16 4RU.
Course outcomes
Following the Epilepsy and Midazolam Course learners will be able to -
- Recognise those individuals that are having a seizure.
- Identify the difference between an absence seizure and a convulsive seizure.
- Discuss common triggers associated with seizures.
- Demonstrate the first Aid treatment for someone having a seizure.
- Discuss the importance of an Individual care plan for the management of seizures/epilepsy.
- Practise Administering Buccal Midazolam.
Format
- Face-to-face course
- Learning takes place through a mix of instructor led training, group discussions, individual and group activities.
- We limit numbers per course so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn.
- We strive for all of our learning content to be as accessible and inclusive as possible.
