The October edition of the eporta 'Industry Insights' events series puts the spotlight on another common discussion point in the industry; Sourcing, Specifying and Procurement for commercial and high detail residential projects.

This event will provide valuable insight for anyone working on FF&E for medium to large-scale projects (including hospitality, commercial and high-end residential) into everything you need to consider in the specification and procurement process. From making sure products are fit for purpose (and under warranty) and best practice for specifying, to practical advice for project management (including delivery and installation services), as well as highlighting the common potential pitfalls.

We'll also give a comprehensive and transparent overview of procurement services, focusing on how and in which projects using a procurement company may be helpful for you and your team, and breaking down all the important factors to be considered when chosing who to work with. Learn how much using procurement services should cost you, identifying when they can save you time or money (and ideally both). We'll also explain the difference between this service and using the eporta platform to order directly and the service included in both options, helping you to work out which route is best for you. This will be supported by a series of case studies analysing design consultancies, specifying dealerships and procurement companies. This is designed to help you, whether or not you already use procurement services, are interested to try or would simply like to learn more about them.

Following the presentation will be a panel discussion chaired by Max Pilbeam (Head of eporta Procurement), who has over 15 years’ experience working for some of London’s top design consultancy and procurement companies.

  • The real cost of your procurement journey - what happens when things go wrong?
