If you'd like to be part of the campaign for better public transport and safer streets in Epping Forest please come along to this, our second organising meeting.
At our first meeting in September we agreed to prioritise:
- The Save the 167 Bus Route campaign
- Raising public transport and safers streets when planning applications are considered
- Safer routes to schools.
Since then the draft Epping Forest Local Plan has been published, which raises many concerns around planning. Most relevant to EFTAG is the increased strain on our existing public transport and more traffic, which could lead to conjestion and parking problems, both making our streets less safe for pedestrians and cyclists.
There will be district and parish/town councillors at the meeting, along with local campaigners, local residents and hopefully a representative from a local bus operator. It should be an informative and productive meeting.
The Space is a small venue so, although this isn't a ticketed event, we'd be grateful if you could register here so that we've got an idea of how many people are coming.
