The Age of AI Agents – From Concept to Commercial Impact
Discover how autonomous AI agents are reshaping business today – and why your organisation can’t afford to sit this one out.
About the session
Artificial Intelligence has already transformed the way we work, but the next great leap is here: AI agents – intelligent, autonomous systems that don’t just respond, but act.
Once a futuristic idea, AI agents are now delivering tangible results across industries – boosting efficiency, supporting teams, and even generating new revenue streams.
This session will unpack the fascinating evolution of AI agents – where they came from, what they can do today, and where they’re headed next. We’ll explore the strategic opportunities they present for businesses ready to take the next step in digital transformation.
Agenda
Welcome & Introduction
Set the scene, meet your hosts, and get ready to dive into the fast-moving world of intelligent automation.
The Shift Has Begun
AI agents aren’t a glimpse of the future – they’re here, working quietly behind the scenes in organisations large and small. We’ll explore current adoption rates, market growth, and how forward-thinking businesses are already seeing the benefits.
What is an AI Agent?
From simple chatbots to autonomous assistants capable of independent decision-making – we’ll define what makes an AI agent truly “agentic”, and unpack the key features that set them apart: autonomy, learning, and tool use.
AI Agents in Action
Time to see them at work. Real-world examples such as INVOS, Milhouse, and Voobot showcase how AI agents are transforming customer support, sales, and employee experience – driving measurable impact through revenue growth, cost savings, and productivity gains.
We’ll even include a live demo, so you can see the magic (and maths) in motion.
The Process – How to Approach AI
Practical advice for businesses ready to take the plunge: how to start small but think big, choose meaningful use cases, and align AI to your people and processes. Learn how to scale from your first assistant to a fully integrated agentic workforce – minus the hype and headaches.
Why attend?
- Understand the evolution of AI agents and their real-world potential
- See live examples of businesses achieving measurable results
- Learn how to identify high-value opportunities in your own organisation
- Gain practical guidance on implementation and scaling
Who should attend

The Horton, located in Epsom, Surrey, is a vibrant cultural venue housed in the beautifully renovated Grade II-listed former Horton Chapel. Originally built in 1901 as part of Epsom's unique cluster of psychiatric hospitals, the chapel served as a sanctuary for worship and music therapy. Following the closure of the hospitals in the 1990s, the building fell into disrepair until it was saved and transformed by the Horton Chapel Arts & Heritage Society. After extensive renovations, it reopened in April 2022 as a not-for-profit arts and heritage centre.
Today, The Horton offers an inspiring space for live music, theatre, dance, comedy, poetry readings, exhibitions, and creative workshops. It also hosts family-friendly events and community activities designed to appeal to a wide range of audiences. Courses and workshops cater to all skill levels, from beginners to professionals, led by expert practitioners. The venue’s café-bar provides a welcoming spot for visitors to unwind.
The Horton’s mission is to enrich the community by fostering creativity and shared cultural experiences. It aims to bring people together through artistic expression, social activities, and an appreciation of local heritage. Its permanent exhibition explores the history of Epsom's psychiatric hospital cluster, connecting the past with its dynamic present as a hub for creativity and wellbeing.
