ABOUT OUR TUTOR

Jayne McAleer from Merthyr Tydfil teaches courses that develop skills to cope with everyday life including, Emotional Health and Well-being, Managing Anxiety, Stress Management, and Anger Management. Jayne has developed these courses to equip her learners with the tools and strategies to help them manage their everyday lives and be able to move on and overcome their barriers.

Jayne knows first-hand the struggles that ill health brings as she was diagnosed with M.E in her twenties. She has used her own story to motivate, encourage and empower others.

"I always encourage people to ‘give adult learning a try’. There are so many benefits - the knowledge, confidence, opportunities and of course, socialising are so vital to us all. I am proud to say that I have seen many people go on to further education, new or extended careers, volunteering and perhaps, most important of all – they have been happier in themselves, with a sense of self and their self-worth.”

T he Unite Wales Union Learning Fund (WULF) offers opportunities for a wide range of support, guidance and funding for training and adult learning.
