Equality, Inclusion & Diversity virtual classroom workshop for HR professionals led by Nina Ammo, Inclusion 365

About this event

This 3 hour interactive workshop is for HR Professionals with responsibility for progressing their employer’s Diversity and Inclusion agenda to provide them with the knowledge, confidence and practical strategies for moving the dial on D&I in their workplace. The session will cover:

• Understanding what we mean by Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

• Developing a robust business case

• Brief recap on the law and how it applies in practice

• Addressing bias in people policies, decisions and practices across the employee lifecycle: practical strategies, inclusion nudges and top tips

• The role of Employee Networks

• Employer Case Studies

• Action Planning

A mixture of live polls, chat, videos and small group exercises will be used to engage participants and apply key concepts and examples to your role as an HR Professional.

A short guide for HR Professionals will be provided to participants to help embed the learning from the session.

About Nina Ammo:

For the past 17 years, Nina has worked in various HR Generalist and Consultancy roles across a variety of sectors including NHS, Private Healthcare and Education.

She worked as Head of HR and the Strategic HR Lead for Diversity and Inclusion at St Christopher’s where she specialised in people management, employee relations and the management of change. She has delivered on several people management and leadership courses from front line managers to senior level executives.

Nina is particularly interested in management development and organisational design, providing advice on high performing team structures and job roles including job evaluation processes and recruitment needs. More recently, Nina has become involved in transformational HR and cultural change including:

• BME staff progression within a large NHS Trust while simultaneously working on the cultural change programme to become the “Best Place to Work” within Devon STP.

• Principal consultant for a large NHS Foundation Trust working on cultural transformation programme and Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).

Nina is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a certified workplace coach and facilitator. She has also completed an MA in Strategic Human Resources.
