EQUIPPED North Devon: Helping you grow, connect and serve
Tue, 18 Apr 2017, 19:00 – Tue, 27 Jun 2017, 21:30 BST
Irrespective of age, background, ethnicity and experience, we are all part of the bigger picture—the multi-generational, multi-cultural Church of Jesus Christ.
Equipped helps you to find, and equips you to fulfil, your unique place within it. Using Wayne Grudem’s Christian Beliefs DVD and involving a guest speaker each week, we’ll explore key topics essential for meaningful Christian living.
Organised and run in North Devon by a collaboration of evangelical churches, Equipped originally grew out of Moorlands College’s desire to support local churches beyond its Bachelors and Masters programmes. Since 2011, Equipped has proven overwhelmingly popular and is run in various locations across the UK.
Equipped will take place over ten Tuesday evenings, 7:30–9:30pm, from 18 April to 27 June 2017 (no meeting on 30 May). Refreshments will be served from 7pm. Book all ten sessions in advance for just £25.
Parking may be limited depending on numbers, so please arrive early if you require disabled access.
The evening will involve a screening of the Christian Beliefs discipleship DVD series, presented by acclaimed theologian Dr Wayne Grudem. We’ll also hear from a different, experienced visiting speaker each session, and will benefit from the space and time to engage in open discussion—helping you to thoroughly explore a different topic every week. Key themes include the relevance of the Old Testament; considering other faiths; setting boundaries; managing conflict; and transforming communities.
“The course is brilliant! You meet other Christians of all ages and backgrounds. The teaching is practical and high quality—I learned such a lot in a short time—and had fun too!”
