🕯️ Welcome: A Space for Reflection and Growth

Join Dr. Shungu M’gadzah for a guided evening meditation designed to help you pause, reflect, and release the weight of the day.

This Equity Meditation offers a calm and compassionate space for self-examination, healing, and intentional growth — an opportunity to rest your mind and nurture your commitment to equity and empathy.

Take a breath.
Tonight, we release the weight… and choose compassion.

💭 What Is Equity Meditation?

Equity Meditation explores one of the greatest challenges in human connection — stepping outside the “Cave of Privilege.”

This metaphor represents the ways our experiences, biases, and assumptions can isolate us from others. Through guided reflection, you’ll begin to recognise your own “cave” and explore ways to move beyond it — with courage, compassion, and mindfulness.

Dr. M’gadzah’s approach is grounded in the Six Stages Framework, guiding you from self-awareness to social action.

🪞 The Three Steps to Building Equity

The meditation follows a simple yet transformative path:

  1. Awareness – Recognising your own patterns, privileges, and blind spots.
  2. Intention – Setting a conscious purpose to think, act, and relate differently.
  3. Action – Turning inner awareness into compassionate behaviour and meaningful change.

These steps help you connect inner growth with outer impact — building empathy into everyday interactions.

🌿 What to Expect

In this 60-minute session, you will experience:

  • Guided Reflection – Explore how your daily interactions align with your values.
  • Affirmations for Growth – Release perfectionism and choose progress.

“I forgive myself for what I didn’t yet know.”
“I let go of perfection and choose progress.”

  • Compassionate Action – Commit to speaking up, listening deeply, and building bridges of understanding.

✨ The Goal: Building Bridges and Waking with Purpose

By the end of the session, you will feel grounded, restored, and renewed — ready to rest with intention and wake with purpose.

This meditation is for anyone seeking to build inner peace while contributing to a more connected, equitable world.

“Healing begins when we slow down and listen.”
