Biography
Eran Sulkin is an award-winning pianist who is rapidly building an international reputation. Working primarily as a recitalist, but also specialising in chamber music and improvisation, Eran has performed in the UK (eg. Wigmore Hall) in Europe (eg. Joachim Saal, Berlin) and in the USA (eg. Aspen Music Festival). He has been a prizewinner at a number of competitions, including the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Pörtschach, Austria and the Čiurlionis International Piano Competition in Vilnius, where he was a semi-finalist. In his home country, he was a prizewinner at the Israel Radio Young Artist Competition, the Jerusalem ‘Piano Forever’ competition and the Ben-Haim Israeli Music Competition, where he took the prize for the best accompanist.
Eran has performed in masterclasses with Murray Perahia, Christoph Eschenbach, Robert Levin, Menahem Pressler and many other acclaimed artists. He is currently studying for a Masters degree at the Guildhall School of Music, London, where he is a Barber Company as well as an America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholar.
