About this event

We’re hosting a very special Erasure Workshop with Hong Kong writer and artist, Jeremy Pak Nelson. Together, we'll be creating beautifully visual poetic pieces called 'Erasures'. Erasures are a cross between poetry, visual art, and -- maybe -- a touch of divination. We'll choose from old and unusual texts and create something new using markers and geometry tools. No prior experience or skills required, only the willingness to look closely, embrace mistakes, and reimagine what's in front of us.

All materials are supplied.Everyone's welcome to Fuse's events, but we actively encourage Black, Asian, and Global Majority creatives to join us and be a part of Fuse's diverse community.

ABOUT JEREMY:

Jeremy Pak Nelson is a writer and artist from Hong Kong. Based in Manchester, he holds an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts and is part of the inaugural cohort of the Poets of Colour Incubator. His poetry explores how identity is entangled with the narratives we tell ourselves and the ones we are given. He also writes stories of all genres and forms, and his work has appeared or is forthcoming in Magma Poetry, Small Wonders, and has been selected as a Grist's Imagine 2200 climate fiction initiative. His preoccupations include outdated methods of putting words on paper, folk fiddle, and the game of go. He can be found at jpaknelson.com.
