The course links the related disciplines of ergonomics and osteopathy, covering an introduction to ergonomics as well as applications relevant to osteopaths.
Attendees leave with the ability to evaluate and train patients in relation to computer workstations and manual handling back in their practices. The aim is to provide knowledge and skills to give support to patients with injuries or problems related to their workplace environment.
Course leader David Annett is a freelance ergonomics consultant with a degree in this discipline and over 15 years' experience, as well as being a practicing osteopath.
Recent delegate feedback:
Felt very comfortable with the trainer and his excellent knowledge, which enabled the group to join in and keep focused.
Excellent! Very engaging.
Very engaging, with a varied use of visual aids and practical.
Clear presentation, case studies helpful, handout excellent and practical exercises useful.
Surprised at how interesting it was. I feel able to advise patients on workstations, and confident about advising companies on ergonomics and approaching them as an advisor.
