Esk Estuary Public Art Workshop - Online
Event Information
About this event
You'll be making a design based on the wildlife of the Esk estuary.
- Please note this workshop is intended for residents of Whitby and the nearby area.
Artists Juneau Projects will talk you through the process of creating a design that will be transferred onto a new public artwork for Whitby, a glazed brick decorative bench and wall.
Whether you draw and paint regularly or want to try it out, join in and help create the wildlife images that will be included on the sculpture. We'll provide drawing materials - brush, ink and paper - as well as source images to work from and guidance on how the designs should be produced for transfer onto the sculpture.
- The workshop is suitable for adults and families - please make sure an adult is present if children are taking part.
- Places can be booked until Monday 7th Feb at 12pm to allow time for materials to be posted to you.
This project and the planned sculptures aim to raise awareness of water quality issues in the Esk and the impact of pollution on wildlife, as part of the Wild Eye programme. See https://invisibledust.com/projects/wild-eye for more info.
