This interactive workshop will use the professional development resources produced by the English My Way project in response to the training needs of teachers and volunteers. These include:
- Interactive online modules
- Short videos focusing on teaching techniques
- Peer support and observation
The workshop will be of value to teachers (paid or volunteers) of pre-Entry and Entry level ESOL students.
This workshop will be delivered by Celine Castelino, who is a member of the British Council team that developed Pre-Entry learning resources and teacher training modules for the English My Way programme delivered by community-based UK online centres. Together with her colleagues, she has successfully delivered training workshops throughout England, at NATECLA national and regional conferences and at IATEFL. She has a wealth of experience of designing resources for learners and for teacher training.
This is a free workshop but we are inviting donations to enable Newham ESOL Exchange to deliver more training for ESOL tutors and volunteers in the future. Receipts for donations on the day will be available.
