Description

Electronic J-rock & progressive metal band Esprit D'Air perform their new album Constellations back-to-back on their biggest headline tour yet. Live at Aatma Manchester on 8th Feb 2018.

The J-rockers’ critically-acclaimed debut album, Constellations, premiered on TeamRock (Metal Hammer, Classic Rock Magazine), which saw their lead single, ‘Guiding Light’ listed on TeamRock’s best rock songs of 2017.

Since their reformation in 2016, Esprit D’Air has been going strength-to-strength from performing at the UK’s largest Japanese culture festival HYPER JAPAN, to selling out a headline show at O2 Academy2 Islington, and supporting the likes of Canada’s darkwave band The Birthday Massacre.

Support 1: Tokyo Taboo
The duo comprise of singer Dolly Daggerz and guitarist Mike, who are joined by a band for their live shows. Dolly takes inspiration from iconic performers from Heart to David Bowie and Karen O and Mike simply loves a good riff. Tokyo Taboo is a perfect amalgamation of Dolly and Mike’s influences; inspired by Manga, Japanese culture, drag and 80s fashion, they are true performers, with an image that equals the intense vibrancy of what you hear on record.

Support 2: Lesbian Bed Death
After the release of the debut album 'I Use My Powers For Evil', Lesbian Bed Death have gone from strength to strength, playing shows across the UK and mainland Europe (including the world famous Whitby Goth Weekend), and have released a further four critically acclaimed studio albums: 'Designed By The Devil, Powered By The Dead', 'Riot Of The Living Dead', 'The Devil's Bounty Hunters' and 'Evil Never Dies'.

Support 3: Def Neon
DEF NEON are a band who fuse elements of indie-rock, electro, synthpop and bass music to create a sound that has been described by critics as energetic, intense and unique. Having formed as a traditional guitar-based rock band, a mutual love of all things electronic soon emerged as the band began to reinvent their material using sequencers and samplers. The resulting sound has proved popular with live event organisers and club promoters alike, leading to support slots with 65daysofstatic, Death in Vegas, The Orb, Pop Will Eat Itself, The Algorithm and Sonic Boom Six.
