Event description

Description

Electronic J-rock & progressive metal band Esprit D'Air perform their new album Constellations back-to-back on their biggest headline tour yet. Live at Jumpin' Jacks Newcastle on 9th Feb 2018.

The J-rockers’ critically-acclaimed debut album, Constellations, premiered on TeamRock (Metal Hammer, Classic Rock Magazine), which saw their lead single, ‘Guiding Light’ listed on TeamRock’s best rock songs of 2017.

Since their reformation in 2016, Esprit D’Air has been going strength-to-strength from performing at the UK’s largest Japanese culture festival HYPER JAPAN, to selling out a headline show at O2 Academy2 Islington, and supporting the likes of Canada’s darkwave band The Birthday Massacre.

Support 1: Tokyo Taboo
The duo comprise of singer Dolly Daggerz and guitarist Mike, who are joined by a band for their live shows. Dolly takes inspiration from iconic performers from Heart to David Bowie and Karen O and Mike simply loves a good riff. Tokyo Taboo is a perfect amalgamation of Dolly and Mike’s influences; inspired by Manga, Japanese culture, drag and 80s fashion, they are true performers, with an image that equals the intense vibrancy of what you hear on record.

Support 2: Auger
AUGER are a brand new and exciting dynamic darkwave duo, comprising of Kyle Wilson (21) lead vocals, keyboards, programming and Kieran Thornton (21) guitar and backing vocals.

Formed in the industrialised north of England; a haunted landscape of dark satanic mills, ruined factories, dormant steelworks and disused coal mines. Laying beneath all of this wasteland, is a labyrinth of man made tunnels where madness lies waiting.

Support 3: Vorstellan
Vorstellan is the brain child of vocalist & guitarist Jacob Knight. After a couple of years of struggle & depression, Jacob started Vorstellan in late 2014 as a solo synth project heavily focusing on dark sounds whilst mixing in 80s influences.
