On Wednesday 17th September, join Esquire's Editor-in-Chief Teo van den Broeke as he meets award-winning British actor, James Norton. Discussing his latest projects King & Conqueror (BBC) and House of Guinness (Netflix), James and Teo will also delve into the power of personal style, the art of preparation, and what fame means in 2025.

MEET OUR SPEAKERS

JAMES NORTON

James Norton is an acclaimed English actor known for his versatility across television, film, and stage. Raised in North Yorkshire and trained at RADA after studying theology at Cambridge, he first came to prominence in Happy Valley, earning a BAFTA nomination for his portrayal of Tommy Lee Royce. He went on to win recognition for leading roles in Grantchester, War & Peace, and McMafia, establishing himself as one of Britain’s most dynamic screen talents.

2025 has been a landmark year for Norton, with standout performances in the BBC’s historical epic King & Conqueror and ITV’s Playing Nice (both produced through his production banner, Rabbit Track Pictures). James will soon be seen in Netflix’s anticipated series, House of Guinness from Steven Knight.

James is currently filming House of the Dragon Season 3, taking on the role of Ormund Hightower and has completed filming on Guy Ritchie’s Wife & Dog and George Jacques’ sophomore feature Sunny Dancer starring Bella Ramsay.

TEO VAN DEN BROEKE

Teo van den Broeke joined Esquire UK as Editor-in-Chief in April 2025. Teo is an author and award-winning journalist and podcaster. He began his career in journalism in 2010, serving as Style Director for Esquire UK and British GQ before joining Soho House as Global Editorial Director in 2022, where he helped develop and execute the brand’s worldwide content strategy. His memoir, The Closet, was published by HarperCollins in 2023.
