About this Event

The ESRC funded BLG DRC provides a range of no-fee services and academic expertise from the Universities of East Anglia, Essex, Kent and London School of Economics is available to help use data more effectively.

The Centre was established by the Economic and Social Research Council to develop and provide academic expertise. It works together with and helps local authorities, businesses and other organisations nationwide to harness data more effectively.

The Centre has a proud history of providing training, data services and innovation vouchers to a wide array of organisations. The Centre has a large back catalogue of case studies of completed work and ongoing projects. For example, the Centre worked with East Sussex Highways on infrastructure tracking by examining the history and trends of regional infrastructure projects, and judging the impact and interdependency of future building.

Similarly, the Centre worked with the Greater Cambridge and Peterborough Local Enterprise Partnership to audit their data and establish what their future data needs looked like- what data was missing, what was its quality, where improvement was needed and what data needs refining.

Together with the APPG for Data Analytics - we look forward to welcoming you to celebrate the work of the Centre in the historic settings of the House of Commons.
