Description

This is a course to support LSAs/TAs to develop their teaching of Mathematics through 1:1/Group intervention and Whole Class Teaching. Modelling and demonstrating will be a key focus of the Big Ideas as well as questioning to support mathematical thinking in KS1 and KS2. Audience: TAs/HLTAs & Subject Leaders What to bring: Memory Stick

Course Objectives:

• Explore the changes to the Mathematics classroom with the introduction of the New Curriculum and Mastery.

• Identify the progression and key ideas in foundation stones to learning; place value, mental fluency and beyond this, the big ideas within number.

• Explore task modification and the power of effective questioning.

• Identify useful websites for your role and bring along a memory stick to collect a range of useful resources you could use in role.

This course is aimed at TAs/HLTAs & Subject Leaders

The cost to attend the conference is £100 (plus VAT and booking fee)
