Description

Take your career in a new direction by learning the essential skills required for working with children and young people.

This free* three day course will provide an introduction to working with children and young people and will cover:

  • Understanding the children’s workforce
  • Managing challenging behaviour
  • Dealing with trauma and attachment issues
  • Employment and career development coaching

We will help you to develop your knowledge, skills and confidence to consider if working or volunteering in this sector is for you. You will receive a certificate on completion, plus one-to-one careers coaching to support you to take your next steps.

Course Dates

This course is run over three days:

  • Wednesday 11th October 2017 9.15am - 14.45pm
  • Wednesday 18th October 2017 9.15am - 14.45pm
  • Wednesday 25th October 2017 9.15am - 14.45pm

You must attend all three dates to complete the course.

Accessing a free place on the course

This course is free to people not in employment. In order to access a free place, you will need to provide proof of address, employment status and age. If you do not provide proof by the 13th October 2017, you will be expected to pay the full course fees.

Don't meet the criteria for a free place? Don't worry, you are still welcome to purchase a place on the course for the fee of £150.00.
