Description

Take your career in a new direction by learning the essential skills required for working with children and young people.

This free three-day course will provide an introduction to working with children and young people and will cover:

  • Understanding the children’s workforce
  • Managing challenging behaviour
  • Dealing with trauma and attachment issues
  • Developing emotional resilience in children & young people
  • Employment and career development coaching

We will help you to develop your knowledge, skills and confidence to consider if working or volunteering in this sector is for you. You will receive a certificate on completion, plus one-to-one careers coaching to support you to take your next steps.

What's included?

The course is taught by two highly experienced tutors. Lunch and refreshments are also included on all three course dates (please advise on booking of any dietary or other requirements). Learners will receive a pack of resource materials to take away, along with a certificate on completion of the course.

Course Dates

This course is run over three days:

  • Thursday 12th April 2018 9.15am - 14.45pm
  • Thursday 19th April 2018 9.15am - 14.45pm
  • Thursday 26th April 2018 9.15am - 14.45pm

You must attend all three dates to complete the course.
