Event description
An introduction to the principles and ethics of Permaculture and their practical application within a community garden.

About this event

Ever wondered what Permaculture was about? Or if there is another way to do things that are kinder to the environment and ourselves? Dip your toe into the world of Permaculture at Glengall Wharf Garden with this short introductory workshop.

In this four hour participatory workshop you will:

  • Discover what Permaculture is
  • Learn about the Ethics and Principles of it
  • See how this is applied by exploring Forest Gardening.
  • There will be an opportunity to do some practical work for those who are able.

Start time 10.30, ends at 2.30 with a short break for lunch in the middle.

Booking is essential via Eventbrite.

Payment is by conscious contribution so we are asking people to pay what they can, bearing in mind that your generosity will enable others to attend who may not otherwise be able to. Your generosity will also allow us to continue offering these low cost courses therefore reaching as many people as possible.

Suggested donations: low wage £20, middle income £40, generous donation/pay it forward £60 per person.

Glengall Wharf Garden workshops are open to all - we do not want access to be restricted due to lack of funds so we have a limited number of free spaces available for each session - please get in touch with us directly.

If anyone local would like to join who does not have internet access, or cannot fill in the form for any reason, they are more than welcome to come to the gate to speak to an on-site volunteer, who can take down details for them.

Led by Ruth Robinson and Paula Beattie, Sunday Gardeners at Glengall Wharf Garden, Permaculture Design Certificate Holders with training in Forest Gardening.
