Every business needs to make sales in order to build a sustainable, reliable revenue source to enable payment of all of the costs associated with running the business. But many people find sales a daunting part of entrepreneurship and often rely on their knowledge and passion to win over new clients (which works for a period of time) but isn’t enough to create a long-term and forecastable pipeline of new customers.

Our Essentials of Sales Strategy Workshop is designed to support start-ups, freelancers, sales managers and business owners to design and implement a winning sales strategy.

This is a Half Day session, open to all, where we will guide you through the necessary steps to take when building your Sales Strategy. We’ll provide you with a Workbook which will allow you to take notes and remember key points long after the session ends.

What exactly will we be covering?

Our simple approach, breaks your Sales Strategy down into 4 essentials components

  1. Know your audience - who to sell to?
  2. Product Staircase – what to sell?
  3. Sales Process – how to sell?
  4. Tracking and Measuring Progress – creating sustainability

The first component helps you to tailor your strategy to who you want to sell to. We build an ideal customer profile, create ‘best fit’ audience segments and understand buyer behaviour.

The second, explores which of your products and services are right to sell and at what time. We will show you how to build a staircase of products, with clear USPs, which in turn increases Customer Lifetime Value and helps underpin your customer communication strategy.

The third component is your Sales Process. We advocate a Consultative Selling approach and we will show you how applying this technique builds customer growth and loyalty. You’ll also get some tips on how to make a sales pitch more of a conversation, and not so much a presentation.

The final and fourth component is tracking and measuring your sales pipeline progress, which is essential for spotting trends and learning about what is working well, and what isn’t working quite as well as you’d hope (before it becomes a problem). We give you some tips on using a CRM, on assessing your conversion rates and other goals and KPIs.

Will attendees be asked to roleplay?

Absolutely not, so you don’t have to worry about stage fright J

What happens afterwards?

What we hope will happen afterwards, is that you take your workbook and new ideas back to your workplace and are able to implement new techniques of reaching your most ideal customers, in a way that makes them ‘want’ to buy from you. We will of course be on hand to answer any ongoing questions if you have any.
