Anglia Ruskin University is kindly supporting this network meeting designed to help sixth form teachers and subject leaders reflect on the challenges, opportunities and solutions created by the new level 3 qualifications.

This will be an opportunity to meet with teachers from other providers of your subject to share effective practice, practical innovations and personal insights; discuss approaches to teaching, learning and assessment and evaluate a range of resources used over the past 18 months.

This is your opportunity to enjoy excellent learning conversations with passionate educators of your subject. There will be the chance to discuss ideas, collaboration opportunities, etc to support you and your students and save you some time.

The subject areas to be covered are:

1. English (Language, Literature, language and literature, Creative writing, Media studies, Film studies);

2. Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Applied Science, Health and Social Care);

3. Humanities (History, Geography, Philosophy, Religious Studies);

4. Social Sciences (Law, Psychology, Sociology);

5. Art and Design (Art, Photography, textiles, applied art, design and technology);

6. Modern Foreign Languages;

7. Economics and Business (Economics, Business studies, applied business, accounting, finance);

8. Mathematics and Computing (Mathematics, Further Maths, Core Maths, Computing, ICT);

9. Performing Arts (Drama, Music, Theatre studies, P.E., Sport)

10. Study Skills and the Extended Project Qualification

Come prepared to share and to learn.

If you would like to share a specific ‘nano’ or ‘micro’presentation on a resource, approach or issue in your subject please let me know so we can build it into theEssex Six agenda.

There will be an emphasis on discussing how best to prepare students for next summer's exam and strategies for revisiting topics to prepare for linear assessments.

Places are at no cost to you or your school and parking (on site) and refreshments will be available from 4:30pm.

We aim to start the subject meetings by 5pm and finish by 6:30pm.
