Event description
An exciting annual event for the ESSL Graduate School, promoting the fantastic interdisciplinary research of its PGRs across the 4 Schools.

About this Event

The Faculty of Education, Social Sciences and Law (ESSL) Graduate School Conference is an annual interdisciplinary event where PhD researchers in the Faculty get together to present their work in progress in a supportive and friendly environment. It is a great occasion to step out from disciplinary boundaries and contribute to Faculty-level research culture.

This is an important event in the calendar for the Graduate School - so do please take advantage of this opportunity!

Programme & Presentations - what can I expect?

The programme will be confirmed nearer the time, and once the current call for papers has closed.

However, this year we are delighted to be offering a wide range of different presentations, from the fast-paced and concise format of PechaKucha, to poster presentations (£50 first prize, and £25 runner-up prizes) and classic paper presentations.

We will be welcoming presentations from all stages of our PGRs' research; whether this is from the initial findings at the start of a PhD journey, or right at the very end of a project.

How can I be involved if I'm not presenting this time?

We welcome all Postgraduate Researchers in the Faculty to attend the conference. If you are not going to present this time around, we strongly encourage you to attend the conference not only to help support your peers, but also to become involved in our Faculty's diverse and interdisciplinary research culture.

If you are interested in helping to chair a session, please get in touch with the Organising Committee at ESSLconference2019@gmail.com
