Thomas Merton and the Celtic tradition



Esther de Waal has written widely on the monastic tradition, Benedictine, Cistercian, Celtic. Recently she been thinking about the role of the imagination, the importance of poetry, and the visual in religious life.
She lives in the Welsh Borders where she grew up, and looks after a wild garden, which she leaves reluctantly to travel and talk.

The day will include space for individual refelections



The cost of £40 includes coffee and pastries on arrival, a sandwich lunch and afternoon pot of tea and cake.
