Event description

Description

Ethical Wellbeing is a fledgling business. The aim of Ethical Wellbeing is to host Wellbeing Festivals in disused spaces in and around London. Each event will have free taster sessions in: meditation, mindfulness, yoga, dance as a therapy, resilience workshops, women's and men's circles. There will be massage, ethical products, food. We will have a local artists corner. The events are environmentally concious, alcohol, drug and animal free (vegan). There will be a focus on children too, including a children's jungle den which will be a space for children to read, to be read to by local authors and to create a wall collage, a rain forest on the first day, an ocean on the second. Ethical Wellbeing will be hosting a 'Yoga Rave' on the Saturday night of each festival. Each festival will be raising funds for the charities that manage the building and for a new fund which will be set up before the first event on 12th August. This fund will be used to sponsor young adults (18-25) from disadvantaged backgrounds (disabled, carer for a parent, for financial reasons or other significant reason) to access conservation projects abroad. Ethical Wellbeing is currently in contact with the Jane Goodall Institute and aiming to take 5 young adults out for 6 months to their conservation project in Uganda. Ethical Wellbeing's director Abi (Occupational Therapist) will be supporting each young adult through the 6 months in Uganda and for a further 6 months after they return to the UK. The support will be to mentor and to work on their individual goals (confidence, career, education). Abi has a 'can do' approach, believes we can all reach our potential and live a full, healthy life - whilst also respecting the planet and all it's creatures.

Press tickets are free, however if you would like to donate to one of the three charities involved in the August event please do donate when booking your ticket.
