Event description

Description

Ethics is fundamental to internal communications, yet we often don’t have the internal frameworks, the skills, knowledge or even the professional experience to question and challenge where we could or should.

Following the publication of our ethics skills guide, we’re excited to host an evening seminar on ethics in internal communication.

We’ll be joined by Katherine Bradshaw from the Institute of Business Ethics who will share her insights on how we can become ethical internal communicators, and how we have an important role in shaping the ethical practices inside our organisations.

We’ll also be joined by committee member and independent IC practitioner, Katie Marlow, who will discuss some of the key highlights from our ethics skills guide, including ethical principles, frameworks and research.

In this session you’ll:

  • learn how to think differently about the challenges you face daily in your work
  • discover the theory behind the practice when it comes to making ethical choices
  • discuss ways to build your confidence to enable you to challenge ethical situations effectively
  • understand why ethics is so important for us as internal comms professionals working for 21st century organisations.

The session will also contain group exercises to help you think through various ethical scenarios and an opportunity for Q&A.
