All staff and students of the University must secure ethical approval for any research involving human participants or human data or material.
Presented by Dr Muir Houston, the College of Social Sciences Ethics Officer, this workshop will cover the following areas and allow you to ask questions around both paperwork and procedures:
- Importance of research ethics and its place in your research
- Information about the online application system
- Consideration of some contentious areas
- Discussion of questions raised
This session will assist staff who may be applying for ethical approval for their own research work; supervising students applying for ethical approval or reviewing ethics applications.
