Description

The Scottish Graduate School of Social Science welcomes postgraduate research students to the following advanced training event:

Ethnomethodology and Conversation Analysis

7-8 June 2014

University of Edinburgh

This is the first in a series of biannual meets for doctoral students undertaking research in the allied fields of Ethnomethodology and Conversation Analysis. The purpose of these meets is to establish, build and support a doctoral research community across the UK and Europe.

Each meet will offer a flexible mix of workshops, data sessions, reading groups and presentations. The idea is to provide an informal environment for students to come and share ideas, ask questions, showcase research, etc. We also want to encourage and emphasise these meets as opportunities to socialise and network with your EMCA peers.

Plenary speaker

Professor Liz Stokoe, University of Loughborough
