EU Funding for Arts & Culture - Intensive Workshop
Date: 12 March 2013
Time: 9.30am - 4.30pm
Location: Waterside Theatre, Derry~Londonderry
European partnership working continues to present huge possibilities for arts and cultural organisations from Northern Ireland. To help organisations become aware of the opportunities and support them to develop the necessary skills and knowledge, the Arts Council in partnership with Derry City Council are hosting a 1-day Intensive Workshop to be delivered by:
- Yvette Vaughan Jones, Chief Executive, Visiting Arts, and
- Christoph Jankowski, Manager, UK Cultural Contact Point, Visiting Arts.
During this highly informative and practical workshop, Yvette and Christoph will cover:
- EU funding opportunities to support culture related projects
- How to build a good partnership, and a good project
- Why do international work?
- Getting clear on objectives
- Practical issues:
- partnerships & collaborations
- language and customs
- funding
- visas and legalities.
Participants will engage in a number of exercises to develop project ideas, create transborder co-operation projects, define clear project objectives and learn how prepare to work with different cultures.
Nb: A number of EU programmes (2007-2013) are still open to receive applications including strand 1.3.5 Third Country Cooperation of the Culture Programme (2007-2013). The third counties nominated for 2013 include Australia and Canada. The deadline is 3rd May 2013.
