This is your chance to hear about EU funding opportunities for projects with a strong rural focus across the New Anglia and Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough LEP areas.
Following recent government announcements confirming that EU funding in the current 2014-2020 Programmes will be guaranteed up to the point when the UK formally leaves the European Union (expected to be spring-summer 2019) both LEPs have been working with Defra to agree new Calls for applications under the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) Growth Programme – part of the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE).
These Calls are expected to be launched in early 2017 and are likely to remain open for between 12 and 18 months. We want to ensure that local stakeholders are well prepared to take advantage of these funding opportunities whilst they are still available.
In addition, LEADER activity is now fully operational across many areas of Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire and we want to provide more details about available funding under these Programmes.
he agenda for the day will include speakers from Defra, both LEPs and some of the LEADER representatives across both LEP areas. We also hope to bring some case studies of successful projects.
There is significant scope for new projects in both EAFRD and LEADER. We will identify the national and local priorities and work with delegates via discussions to look at developing project ideas and partnerships. We’ll also highlight what you need to do to prepare a strong application and there will be the opportunity to arrange 1-2-1 sessions with funders and partners.
Places are limited and will be confirmed on a first come first served basis. Depending on the level of interest for the event, we may need to limit attendance to a single representative from any organisation
