The Home Office is running a pilot of the EU settlement scheme to test the application process that EU citizens and family members will use when the scheme opens fully in 2019. Phase 2 of the pilot involves EU nationals and family members of EU nationals who are working in Higher Education, and it opens on 15 November 2018.

Emma Brooksbank, Partner and immigration specialist at Freeths Solicitors, is coming to the University to talk colleagues through recent Brexit developments, the EU settlement scheme in general and our phase of the pilot in particular. All staff are welcome to attend. We will be making use of the lecture capture facilities in the lecture theatre, and will make the session available online if you're not able to attend.

The session is designed to have room for discussion and there will be ample time at the end for questions.

Please note however that Emma won't be able to give detailed advice on individual cases at these sessions. One to one meetings are available, free of charge, for University staff. If you're interesting in booking a personal meeting, please contact Lisa Courtney for details.

Directions (facing away from Parkinson steps): Turn right, go under the link building on your right, turn left after the Michael Sadler building and walk along past the Social Sciences building and down the outdoor stairs. The Roger Stevens building is straight ahead. Enter the building at level 7 and take the lift or stairs to level 8 where you will find LT 18.

Accessible directions (facing away from Parkinson steps): Turn right, go under the link building on your right, turn left after the Michael Sadler building and continue walking past the Social Sciences building and into the door of the building (level 10, red route). Follow the corridor, turn right at the top then left along a link corridor. Enter the building at level 10 and take the lift to level 8 where you will find LT 18.
