Description

Please join us for our annual EMiS Christmas dinner to be held in the restaurant of the Royal Overseas League, with its splendid location overlooking Princes St and Edinburgh Castle. We are delighted that our after- dinner guest speaker will be The Rt. Hon. Henry McLeish, Former First Minister of Scotland.

A welcome glass of bubbly will be served on arrival. This will be followed by a three-course meal, coffee and mince pies. A half bottle of wine per person is included in the price.

STARTERS

Festive Soup of the day

Perthshire smoked salmon with beetroot and vodka crème fraiche

Sliced prosciutto and goats cheese, pear dressing

MAINS

Roast East Lothian turkey, sage and onion stuffing, pigs in blankets, sprouts and chestnuts, honey roast carrots, roast potatoes and jus

Fillet of seabass puy lentils, watercress and herb salad

Rich venison casserole with port, topped with herb dumplings served with kale

Winter vegetable tart, light artichoke sauce, baby potatoes

DESSERTS

Christmas pudding brandy sauce

Drambuie Parfait, mulled red wine plums

Selection of Scottish cheeses, with celery, grapes, pear chutney and mini oatcakes

Brodie’s coffee with mince pies
