The workshop brings together experts from Germany, and Berlin in particular -which Commissioner Neelie Kroes named one of the most remarkable European Start-Up-Hubs-, and Italy, a country with a long tradition of outstanding engineering and design. In the morning sessions the start-up systems in the two countries –encompassing public and private start-up programs, capital providers, incubators, success stories- will be presented and will exchange ideas and experiences; in the afternoon selected Italian and German start-ups in two areas ICT/design and biomedical instrumentation will pitch.
